Farmers’ plight
Sir,—l find Federated Farmers’ call (February 20) for “Government compensation to be paid to farmers for their losses
through high inflation and interest rates” quite ludicrous. Most New Zealanders, whether they are rural or urban dwellers, have had their lifestyles seriously affected by high inflation and interest rates. Why should a special case be made for the rural community? —. Yours, etc., (Mrs) A. E. McLAUCHLAN. February 20, 1987.
