Woman accused of rape

A woman is being tried in Israel on rape charges for the first time in the country’s history, judicial sources said yesterday. The victim, a farmer, aged 27, told a court in Beersheba, in the Negev, on Sunday that Tzippora Malik, aged 26, "forced him to have sexual intercourse with her after stealing his Identity papers and threatening to destroy them if he persisted in rejecting her demands.” He showed the court a medical certificate indicating that he had been “cruelly bitten” during the alleged rape.
According to the police, Malik is a dangerous woman who has twice falsely accused people of attempting to rape her.
The court ordered her to undergo psychiatric tests. i
