Theft from tourist
An intruder stole $l7OO from an American tourist’s wallet while she and her companion were asleep in a Papanui Road motel on Monday night. No sign of a forced entry was found although both women believed that their unit at the Merivale Courts motel was locked, said a police spokesman. About $7OO of the money taken was in United States currency.
