Trafalgar Square
Meetings and demonstrations will be banned in Trafalgar Square for at least two years starting this (northern) summer to allow for refurbishment. Trafalgar Square, with it 51.5 m column topped by the statue of Admiral Horatio Nelson looking out to the River Thames, is one of the favourite tourist spots in London. It is the traditional end of most main protest marches and rallies in the capital. —
