Chch darts success
The New Zealand darts champion, Gordon Allpress, and the 1985 champion; Barry Whittaker, both of Christchurchy, took first place in the $5OO Hotel Russley pairs tournament.
Second place went to Peter O’Conner and Gary
Rule, of Christchurch. Rule scored a difficult 170 points to finish, taking two triple-20s and a bullseye. The Christchurch players, Gavin Wilkie and Barry Murdoch, were
third in the 100-player contest.
