Public Notice* KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL P.O. BOX 102, KAIAPOI. PURSUANT to Regulation 28 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1984, notice Is hereby given of alterations in charges of electricity within the Council’s supply area. The following tariffs have been adopted, by the Council with effect to all power consumed on or after April 1,1987 along with the Department's current Terms and Conditions for Supply. The billing cycle for accounts is on a monthly basis with the exception of NonDomestlc Tariff 4 which Is calculated on a quarterly basis. SCHEDULE OF CHARGES AS FROM APRIL 1, 1987 AU rates are based on nett charge and Accounts are due to be paid within 14 days of issue. DOMESTIC TARIFF 1 Applicable to all household units (a self-contained home of residence of a single household.) A condition of this tariff Is that aU storage type water heating cylinders In excess of 45 litres are required to be connected to the Council’s peak load control system. 6.68 cents per unit Supply charge $0.16 per day . DOMESTIC TARIFF 1A Applicable for approved storage heaters and water heaters. Operating times of these appliances will be restricted between 11.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. only. i 4.12 cents per unit. Operating times of these appliances will be restricted between 11.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. AND beteen 1.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. 4.63 cents per unit. All appliances will be controlled by time switch, the appliance must also be connected to the Council's peak load control system. Cost of all control equipment will be a charge against the consumer. NON-DOMESTIC TARIFF 1 Applicable to all separately occupied premises not including those described In Domestic Tariff 1 and not Including Industrial manufacturing and processing premises with an annual consumption exceeding 150,000 units. 14.40 cents per unit. Supply charge $0.20 per day. NON-DOMESTIC TARIFF 1A Applicable to all premises as described In Non-Domestlc Tariff 1. 14.40 cents per unit used between 7.00 a.m. and 11.00 p.m. 4.12 cents per unit used between 11.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. Supply charge $O2O per day A condition of this tariff is that the consumer is required to meet the additional cost of metering and control equipment and that water and storage type heating appliances must be connected to the Council’s peak load control system. NON DOMESTIC TARIFF 2 Applicable for off-peak supply to such appliances as cool rooms, electrode boilers and other similar Installations, approved by Council. Condition of this tariff Is that the consumer enter Into a signed agreement in which will be set out all supply operating requirements of the Council. Additional costs of control and metering equipment will be a charge against the consumer. 6.68 cents per unit. NON-DOMESTIC TARIFF 3 Applicable for off-peak supply to storage water heating and space heating. Space heating being restricted to operate between 11.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. All appliances to be connected to the Council’s peak load control system and any additional control equipment will be a charge against the consumer. . • 6.68 cents per unit NON-DOMESTIC TARIFF 4 Applicable for industrial manufacturing consumption exceeding 150,000 units per annum. $41.38 per K.V.A. per quarter 5.15 cents per unit 7.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. 4.07 cents per unit 11.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. A condition of this tariff is that the consumer meet the additional cost of metering and control equipment. NON-DOMESTIC TARIFF 4A Applicable to bulk supply to Kalapoi MUI i Industrial premises. 7.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. — .10.61 cents per unit Supply charge $O2O per day 11.00 p.m. to-7.00 a.m. — ,4.30 cents per unit Condition of this tariff Is that the consumer meet the additional cost of metering and control equipment. COMMUNITY LIGHTING 20.8 cents per day each 100 watts BUILDER’S TEMPORARY SUPPLY • $17.44 per month or part thereof payable In advance. STREET LIGHTING 6.68 cents per unit. SUPPLY AUTHORITY SERVICE 6.68 cents per unit Supply charge $0.16 per day SUPPLY CHARGE A supply charge of $0.16 per day is applicable to each domestic metering point. A supply charge of $O2O per day is applicable to each nondomestic metering point SPECIAL OR FINAL METER READING Reading during normal working hours — $7. PREPAYMENT METER RENTALS $7 per month. AU rates are based on nett charge and accounts are due to be paid within 14 days of issue. Failure to pay could result In power being disconnected and a reconnection charge of $33.00 being made. If reconnection is required after hours, normal standby callout charge would apply. M. A.
