West Indies batting fails again
NZPA-AAP ' Devonport England defeated the West Indies by 29 runs in the World Series Cup cricket match in Devon-, port, Tasmania, yesterday.'
The West Indies were .set a low winning target of 178 but once again their batting failed.
The West Indians were all out for 148 in 187 minutes. lan Botham and John Emburey each took three wickets with all of Emburey’s scalps coming in his last over.
The opener, . Chris Broad, who top-scored with 76 in England’s inings, was voted man of the match. The win should ensure England a place in the World Series Cup finals starting in Melbourne on Sunday.
