Accident compensation

Sir, —It is about time the Government revised its A.C.C. coverage policies. The cost to employers is rising to a point where, financially, it is really hurting. There is no argument with coverage of genuine workrelated accidents, but there are many, I am advised, that are worthy of closer examination. Regrettably, these and the non-work-related appear to be assuming our ever-increasing percentage. This situation must be reversed. It may not be politically acceptable, but this Government has shown it has the will to act positively in a number of areas that do not, on the surface, appear to be so. Let this be one of them. — Yours, etc.,

DAVID COX. January 30, 1987.
