Call to quit trade links
PA Hamilton New Zealand should quit its traditional trade links with Britain and plunge into the rich and massive markets of SouthEast Asia, China and Japan. That’s the opinion of a senior and sometimes controversially outspoken British Labour Member of Parliament, Mr Willie Hamilton, who is on a private visit to New Zealand.
Mr Hamilton said he believed New Zealand’s dependence on the United Kingdom had “never been a healthy thing.”
