Tourism theme
Dave Morgan, of Rangitata Rafts, sits on the raft display he helped erect at the philatelic centre of the Christchurch Post Office yesterday. The display is to promote an issue of stamps being released tomorrow.
The set of six stamps, varying in price from
60c to $1.30, have a theme of tourism in New Zealand. The display includes a wind-surfer, a raft and a model ski plane. Each event is featured on one of the
stamps. The other events include a jet boat, a camper van and a mountain climber. The display will stay at the post office for two weeks.
