PA , Omakau A suspension and fines totalling $6BO were imposed by the judicial committee of the Vincent Jockey Club for careless riding on the first day of its summer meeting on Saturday. Angus Mavor, the trainer of Sweet Cheval, was fined $75 for failing to produce a registration certificate for Sweet Cheval, which was a late scratching from the First Lauder Maiden. Debbie Anderton (Jazzabeile) was fined $5O for crowding French Derby and Hot Jazz at the 250 m mark in The Blacks. - *. Terry Kennedy was stood down after the Waitaki Handicap, complaining of a sore back he incurred in a fall when riding work at Wingatui on Tuesday. .; Louise Cameron, the .Wingatui apprentice, was suspended unUl January 27, the penalty to take effect after racing at Omakau today. The deferred suspension was imposed for an incident soon after the start of the First Lauder Maiden when Cameron’s mount, Riwai, shifted inwards when not sufficiently clear, causing a check to Double Reason. Russen McAra, Leslie Didham and Stephen Cook were each fined $l5O for careless riding. McAra, the rider of Milly Molly Mandy in the FultonHogan Handicap, was found to have shifted out at the 150 m mark and check Kade. Didham, the rider of Benger Valley, was found to have caused a check to The Flipper at the 250 m in the Second Lauder Maiden. Cook was found to have allowed his mount Wyliie Lass to shift in when not sufficiently clear after 200 m, causing a check to Dover Castle in The Blacks Improvers. Allan Tait (Wee Bee) was fined $lOO for causing a check to Billy Mac and South of Saltfleet after 150 m in the First Matakanui Maiden.
