Navratilova, coach part
NZPA-AAP Sydney The world No. 1 women’s tennis player, Martina Navratilova, and her coach for the last three-and-a-half years, Mike Estep, have parted. The announcement, made during play in the N.S.W. Open, comes on the eve of the Ford Australian Open, which begins at Kooyong today. A statement from Navratilova said Estep, a former men’s professional circuit player, wanted to follow other tennis interests and the pair had left on good terms.
