Coal depot land for sale
More than $2 million could change hands when a parcel of prime industrial land in Moorhouse Avenue is auctioned next month. The land is the old State Coal depot at the corner of Moorhouse Avenue and Montreal Street — a hectare of all-but-bare land. That much land, zoned Industrial Three, was “pretty scarce,” according Bob Davison, the southern regional mana-
ger of the auctioning company, Harcourts. Mr Davison said that the land was a complete city block, backed by railway land, and served by a rail siding. There were a few buildings, offices and sheds still on the site. These were still sound, but would be “bulldozer material” for any developer who bought the land, he said. ... I|»e land will. be -auctioned on February 16.
