Arrest in stabbing inquiry
The Papanul police have arrested a woman, aged 20, in connection with the stabbing of a man in the car-park of the Papanul Tavern on December 19. The woman is expected to appear in the District Court today charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The victim, Mr Bruce Charles Mayell, was stabbed in the back and suffered a cut to the arm in the attack. He spent two days in Princess Margaret Hospital.
