Trampers’ cars burgled
Trampers should take care where they park their cars before they head into the bush, as they may be broken into, says the Otira policeman, Crartable Niall Shepherd. were stolen front several cars parked in the
Arthur’s Pass National Park last month. Cars left parked by trampers and shooters have also been broken into at Lewis Pass. Constable Shepherd said that it would be ideal if trampers could arrange
for friends to drop them off. Otherwise, the cars should be parked in full view of the road and all valuables removed. The nearest park ranger-should be told how longue vehicle will be there.
