PA Auckland The Auckland all-roun-der, Dipak Patel, will not be talked into a return to English county cricket Patel this summer turned his back on a 10year county career with Worcestershire to settle in New Zealand. However, reports from Australia this week said a Worcestershire official would fly to Auckland this month to try to change the 28-year-old Patel’s
mind. The official, Duncan Fearnley, was in Australia to negotiate with the star England all-rounder, lah Botham, who is thought to be joining Worcestershire this year. “He’s coming to Auckland on the 24th,” said Patel yesterday, "and I know he’ll try to talk me into going back to England. “He won’t be able tp. I’m finished with the county scene.
