Tauranga skipper unbeaten
:; .V PA New Plymouth Bruce Little, of Tauranga, won the -national A class catamaran championships which ended off Port Taranaki yesterday. Sailing his yacht BlowHy Jam, Little won all six races in the regatta. Tony Gable,' of New Plymouth, ‘ln Pure Magic, pressed- Little hard throughout but-Had to settle for second. , Terry ’Valder, of Torbay, sailing Trivial Pursuit, took the national Paper. Tiger title. In Auckland, Hamish Pepper, aged 15, from Murrays Bay, added some spice to the Tauranga Cup P-class yachting competition by winning both of yesterday’s races to breeze into the overall lead. In winds gusting up to 17 knots, Pepper fought to the front of the fleet in both races and finished ahead of the in-form Ramon Davies and early leader, . Simon Patchett These two swapped places behind Pepper in the afternoon race but could not peg him back. A computer breakdown upset the score-keeping but, on a provisional basis at least, Pepper seems to be leading the series from Patchett (Kohimarama), and Davies (Murrays Bay), with two seconds and a third, is in third spot over all.
