Support for M.P.
Sir,—Last week I read in your paper where the people in some parts of the North Island are supporting John Banks, M.P., by helping to pay his fine. For some time Mr Banks has been fighting for law and order and I think the people of the South Island may like to support him also. After all, we have to admit we have our share of crime in Christchurch. Let us not leave it all to the police and get behind anybody who is trying to stem crime and violence.—Yours, etc., K. HART. January 6, 1987.
