Tourist’s wallet stolen
A West German tourist had her wallet and cash stolen while she was dancing in the Franz Josef T.H.C. hotel on New Year’s Eve.
According to Constable lan Price of Whataroa, Ms Bridgitt Sabine Hole was celebrating in the hotel dining room with about 200. others. She left her wallet, which contained $7OO, her passport and return air ticket in her handbag on a table.
The wallet and contents were taken from the bag while she danced.
