Masur wins S.A. title
NZPA-AAP Adelaide Australia’s Wally Masur clinched his first South Australian Open singles title, and first singles win in three years against the American, Bill Scanlon, at the week-end. Although Masur missed several break points early
in the game he held on to his lead to take the first set, 6-4. • Scanlon came back in the second set, but spurred on by an enthusiastic crowd, Masur made few mistakes and took the next set in a tie-breaker (7-2).
