Nauru to vote again
NZPA-AAP Yaren Nauruans will go to the polls late next month for the second time in eight weeks. In a shock move yesterday, the newly re-elected President, Hammer Deßoburt, advised the Speaker to dissolve Parliament in advance of new elections. No date was announced but political sources forecast it would be on a Saturday in late January. Mr Deßoburt resumed the presidency only four days ago, after two weeks of wrangling to form a majority in the evenly split 18-seat Parliament
