Summer fare cut to Fiji
Air New Zealand and Air Pacific have announced a special fare to boost their summer passenger total between Christchurch and Fiji.
The Tuesday flights will cost $425 for an adult return, and half fare for children, instead of the present adult return fare of $615.
The new rate applied from January, until April 12, an Air New Zealand spokesman in Christchurch said.
Air Pacific — Fiji’s national carrier — and Air New Zealand have reciprocal rights on the Christchurch-Nandi route, and share the Air New Zealand Boeing 747 that makes the trip.
The reduced fare is aimed to provide a summer boost for a service that is often seen as a winter holiday destination.
