Intruder in house breaks ankle
PA Auckland* A man who allegedly broke into a West Auckland house early yesterday broke an ankle in a fight with one of the occupants. The offender had forced open a window of the Te Atatu North house and removed records, cassette tapes, cigarettes and’ two pairs of women’s panties and left them on a path outside, said the police. When he went back in he disturbed a male occupant and in the ensuing tussle the offender fell down stairs and broke an ankle, the police said.
He was taken to Auckland Hospital for treatment, then arrested and charged with burglary.
