Christmas shopping
Sir,—Retailers in our commercial community ought to hang their heads in shame for prostituting the beautiful legend of Santa Claus, and in so doing robbing our children of the beauty, excitement and myth that should be theirs at the Christmas celebration. Shame on those that use Saint Nicholas to foist their tawdry junk on us, in this most joyous time of the year. — Yours, etc.,
