Prisoner at large
An inmate who escaped from Paparua Prison yesterday morning is considered dangerous and should not be approached, the police have warned. Shane George Whittaker, aged 24, walked away from a prison work party about 9.30 a.m.
Any sighting of Whit-
taker should be reported immediately to the police and he should not be approached, the police said.
. Whittaker is as a Maori, 166 cm in height, of medium build, and with numerous tattoos on both arms. When last seen he was wearing blue denim prison clothing.
