University Vaeanciss UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO Department of Medicine SCIENTIFIC OFFICER APPLICATIONS are invited for the full-time position of Scientific Officer in research with the Neurology Division, Department of Medicine. Applicants should possess BSc (or partially completed) and have some experience in Physiology. Biochemistry, Psychology. Anatomy or related fields. Experience with data collection, manipulation and statistical analysis using microcomputers would be an advantage. Characteristics such as maturity, an ability to work unsupervised, initiative, and good inter-personal relationships are also sought Duties involve morphological research studies involving normal subjects, patients and animal orientated neuroscience research. The successful applicant will be expected to paticlpate with the team in planning, performing and analysing the results of research studies. The position is funded by the Medical Research Council and is for an initial period of three years. Salarv within the range of 315,126 323.060 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
