Sir Alba wins trial at Ashburton
Ashburton reporter Sir Alba blitzed a reasonably strong field in the Cl and faster pace at the Chertsey trotting trials in Ashburton yesterday, coming from near last at the straight entrance to win going away. Another good run came from General Jones which claimed second with another late run. Others to impress during the day when conditions were ideal were Kami, Exposure, Farm Maid, Precious Wave and the quickest qualifier, Defiance.
