Professionals to umpire
PA Auckland Two professional grand prix tournament umpires have been appointed to officiate at the men’s international tennis tournament in Auckland next month. They are Mr Jeremy
Shales, of Britain, and Mr Richard Ings, of Australia. The Benson and Hedges tournament director, Mr Peter Gardiner, said it would be the first time professionals had been appointed to officiate in the tournament.
