Boat racer still critical
PA Auckland A New Zealand power boat racer, Barry Thompson, injured in an accident on Thursday, was still in the critiical-care unit of Auckland Hospital late last evening. Thompson was codriver of Sunday News, which crashed in the Waitemata Harbour during a world powerboat championship race. He suffered a fractured skull. An Italian entrant, Giovanna Repossi,. who suffered internal injuries and was knocked unconscious in a separate accident, was in a fair condition.
