Chch-built Kiwi launched
PA Auckland Kiwi, a 44ft yacht financed from Wellington, built in Christchurch and to be campaigned initially in Auckland, is the latest prospective Admiral’s Cup challenger. The craft, embracing the latest in thinking on offshore design from the Bruce Farr design board, was launched at Westhaven yesterday. It will be campaigned by Peter Walker, the skipper of Epic, one of the New Zealand representatives in the Admiral’s Cup contest last year.
Bowler is now the plastics expert in the Farr design office. His skills and planning played a major role in the production of KZ7.
