Pat Monaghan, of Invercargill, leads narrowly from Damon Sayer, of Christchurch, in a heat of the 100 cu cm Yamaha senior class m the final meeting of the southern series kart racing championships at the Radio Avon Raceway, Carrs Road. Monaghan won this race, but had to be content with fifth over all. The series was won by Michael Wallace, of Otago.
