Wallaby coach called in
NZPA-AFP Oxford The Australian rugby coach, Alan Jones, will again put his experience at the disposal of Oxford University in its final build-up to next week’s varsity rugby match.
Mr Jones will take charge of sessions at
Oxford’s Iffley Road ground today and tomorrow. Oxford’s captain, Simon Griffin, said: “There is no doubt that Alan is the world’s top coach and his ideas certainly worked for us last year. “Jones has so many ideas and tactical ploys
that it is fascinating working with him. But more important, he is a great motivator. “He made us believe in ourselves when we were cast in the role of underdogs last year and look what happened.”
Oxford won the match, 7-6.
