Writer wins top prize
PA Auckland Nicola Legat, a writer for the Auckland magazine, “Metro,” won top prize in the print section of the New Zealand Media Peace Awards. The prizes are awarded by the Foundation for Peace Studies to journalists they think best foster peace education. “Talking with Moscow,” a IZB broadcast on Leighton Smith’s show, won the radio section. No prize was awarded in the television and film section because of the small number of entries.
