Wedding day fire
PA Gisborne An old back country homestead near Ruatoria burnt down on Saturday evening while the occupant was at his wedding. The police said they were treating the fire at Matahiia station as suspicious.
The station’s manager, Mr Jeremy Williams, had left the turn-pf-the-cen-tury two-storey house to be married in Gisborne.
