Loma Lass due to foal
NZPA Wellington Loma Lass, the dam of Saturday’s Caulfield Cup winner and ruling Melbourne Cup favourite (Mr) Lomondy, is due to foal any day to Shy Rambler. Loma Lass has twice foaled Noble Bijou colts and has lost another by the same sire. Lomondy was the first of Loma Lass’s offspring while a full brother was sold to Australian interests at last year’s Trentham sale for $30,000. In between these two another Noble Bijou foal was lost soon after birth. Nicky McArthur, the wife of Loma Lass’s owner Alistair, says the mare is hale and hearty and that other connections are eagerly awaiting the newest arrival. Loma Lass will return to Shy Rambler for the coming season.
