TV rugby cover cancelled
Television coverage of the All Blacks’ first match at Strasbourg this morning has been cancelled because of industrial action by the Public Service in France. Television New Zealand confirmed yesterday that because of the action by technicians in France, covering the rugby match, listed for 7.30 a.m., was not pos-
sible. The head of sport and outside broadcast events, Mr Malcolm Kemp, said a TVNZ commentator and producer would be sent to France early in November for the two tests and the Barbarians’ match. “We will continue to plan our coverage for the main matches of the tour, at least,” said Mr Kemp.
