N.Z. soldiers on kibbutz

Sir, —I am writing on behalf of Boris Yatom, who was on the kibbutz settlement called Maborat in the 19405. From 1941 to 1944 a number of New Zealand soldiers on leave stayed at the settlement. When they returned to active duty Boris sent food to them and they wrote back thanking him. He would like to know if it is possible to find if they are alive and, if so, to correspond with them. They are: 43605, Sapper J. E. Moore, Ninth Survey, 2 N.Z.E.F.; 37373, R. W. Kirkby, 2 N.Z.E.F.; 19121, Sergeant A. A. McLean, 2 N.Z.E.F.; 26683, Private E. R. Jeyes, No. 4 Company, 2 N.Z.E.F.; 514962, Private N. Heanford, Public Relations Service, 2 N.Z.E.F.; 25785, Bombardier M. H. Rogers, 32nd Battery, Anti-tank Regiment, 2 N.Z.E.F.; 25617, J. K. Hickey, 46th Battery, 4th Regiment, 2 N.Z.E.F.; 110752, Staff-Sergeant Mortimer, H.Q. R.A.S.C., M.E.F., 2 N.Z.E.F.; 224461, Sergeant R. B. Durrant, 2 N.Z.E.F. — Yours, etc.,
