Ferrymead ‘under control’

The Ferrymead Trust is confident that its financial difficulties are under control with .a number of plans for the Ferrymead Historic Park, said its secretary, Mr Phil Gruppelaar, yesterday. Onei plan to provide more ' activities at the park for all age-groups is the summer programme of events which will begin at Labour Day week-end with film and video sessions and tours. The director, Mr Robin Sutton, has organised two director’s tours a day from October 25 to 27, to provide an insight into the park’s activities and plans. Other summer activities planned include a jazz festival on November 15, a special transport day on November 29, and 30 — when the gate entry fee will give, visitors unlimited rides on vehicles — and a vintage country fair on December 14.
