Webb Street
Sir, —I, too, resent having to detour through narrow lanes such as Holly Road and St Albans Street or through the landscape
which once was Rugby Street. Perhaps all our streets should be blocked. The council could recruit beadles in sentry boxes, dressed in frock coats and toppers and we could go about in sedan chairs. This would attract tourists, besides providing much necessary employment. — Yours, etc, W. R. MORRIS. October 10, 1986.
