Rainbow study
Rainbow Corporation, Ltd, has approval from the Queenstown Borough Council to do a feasibility study for a hotel development on an area of Queenstown commonage. The five hectare site is zoned residential and is commonage land, but the borough council has agreed that it would look favourably at initiating a scheme change to accomodate such a development. The company would have 12 months in which to carry out its study and would ultimately need the consent of the Minister of Lands, Mr Wetere, to Use the land.
