Police officers from throughout the world will begin arriving in Christchurch today for the be-

ginning of international friendship week, which will be held in New Zealand for the first time.

Up to 500 policemen and policewomen from France, Denmark, Germany, Britain, Switzerland, the United States, and the Middle East will be in New Zealand.
