They are a long established and strong organisation with manufacturing sites in Christchurch and Auckland and recognised as a leader in thei field of capital equipment manufacture. ■ As the sole Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will encompass the areas of accounting, and administration and the management of the inhouse computer system, through the clerical team. Specifically this will involve supervising the total financial accounting function to final balance stage, staff supervision and training, maintaining internal controls and, on ■ occasion, assisting on costing matters. In addition you will play a key role in the management and further development of the comprehensive computer system as a management tool although specialist skills in this area are not required. ■ This is an excellent opportunity for an Accountant, preferably ■ qualified and with a minimum of three to four years accounting experience in either commerce or chartered accounting to broaden ■ his/her experience with a position offering considerable autonomy ■ and scope for development of new skills.
