Board on land development Wellington reporter
An eight-member board for the Land Development and Management Corporation (Landcorp) has been appointed by the Government, to begin work on April 1 next year.
Its chairman will be Mr David Chalmers, of Auckland, the managing director of the N.Z.I. Corporation.
The others are Mr Dan Duggan, of Wellington, general secretary of the Workers’ Union; Mr Peter Egan, of Gisborne, managing director of Advanced Meats, Ltd; Mr Peter Elworthy, of Timaru, ' president of Federated Farmers; Dr Susan Lojkine, of Christchurch, an accountant and company consultant; Mr George Moss of Putaruru, a dairy farmer; Mr Bryan Palmer, of Amberley, a director of Elders Pastoral (N.Z.), Ltd; and Mr Jim Scotland, of Hastings, a business and horticulture consultant.
