Indoor cricket showdown
Finalists in the three grades of the General Finance indoor cricket league have been found. In the men’s A grade, Converse Howzat will meet Radio Avon Papanui; Howzat will play Papanui in the B grade as well, while Russley will face City in the women’s grade. All three finals will be played at the Sockburn centre. In the semi-finals, Papanui beat Skellerup Allstars Sockburn, 111-65, while Howzat beat Hollobon Hire Russley in a close-fought match, 108-103. .glowzat beat Sockburn, 143108, and Papanui beat Russ-
ley, 116-50, in the B grade semi-finals. City walloped Papanui, 192-65, while Russley beat Sockburn, 119-100, in the women’s semi-finals. Points. — Men’s A grade: Howzat 149, Papanui 137, Sockburn 120, Russley 114, Cobb and Co. Stadium 79, North Canterbury 72, Sammys Timaru 43, City 29.
