Long wait for perfect shot
After 48 years of playing golf, Mr Pat Brown, aged 76, has finally Scored a hole in one. Mr Brown, a retired farmer, has lived in Rakaia all his life, and it was there that he recently holed the par three eighth hole with one shot. Mr Brown is a life member of the Acton Links golf club in Rakaia, he said he got a “great thrill” when he scored
the prized shot. The eighth hole, “Naharnah,” is 118 m long. Mr Brown used his five fron, which has had so much use over the years that the figure five has worn off the bottom of the club. Mr Brown still plays three times a week. Will there be any more holes in one? ' “I think I was very fortunate to even get one,” he said.
