Her LP, “Genre,” •? has been released in West; Germany, and will be out soon in Australia. < At The Venue tonight, | Murder Incorporated are. joined by Doctor MJ Abuse, and Rick Ohlson. » The Prodigies return at? The Gladstone tonight, after a few months out; working on new material, and rehearsing. It is likely f to be their last appear-, ance until the end of the* year as they plan to go; into the studio to record* an EP. *
The Prodigies will be supported by the frontman for the defunct Wastrels, Anton Jenner, and the band’s soundman,? Dave Thomson. ; The Christchurch Youth Centre will benefit from fund-raising appearance, tomorrow and Saturday at> The Gladstone. ; Nux Vomica, who have, been recording recently 1 for the new Sleek Bott label, play tomorrow with The Thunderbirds, and? the Stoker Brothers. On; Saturday the Stoker. Brothers, and Nux Vom-* ica return with a new band, Stiff Oxen. On Wednesday The; Camellias, and the The Greens get their chance; at The Gladstone. ? The Town Hall’s school holiday video disco last month attracted so many that another will be held; tomorrow evening. !• The supervised disco? will feature the latest overseas videos, banished; from television by the? continuing dispute over payment. Early buying of the $5.60 tickets is advised. A Flashline lighting system, believed to be the first installed in Australia or New Zealad, will create lightning bolt effects, with 160 strobes attached to 80m of suspended, clear tubing.
