Half-way house to open

A half-way house for disturbed people aged in their twenties and thirties is being set up in Christchurch. The house is owned by the Anglican City Mission, which will use it for up to seven people, ia co-opera-tion with Sunnyside Hospital. The City Missioner, the Rev. David Morrell, said that it would be geared for people who had had hospital treatment and been released but who had taken themselves off medication and found themselves at a loose end. The house has been painted by people on periodic detention. Other support has been given by Lions clubs and the Christchurch Polytechnic.
