Plans finalised

PA Wellington Plans have been finalised for Jean Rapier to race in the United States in November. His trainer, Graeme Rogerson, said the gelding would be flown to the United States on October 10 and set for the 5U5250.000 Fair HUI Steeplechase, on November 1, and the prestige Colonial Cup, on November 16. He will be ridden in both Maryland features by Paul Hillis. Rogerson said Jean Rapier, which was in magnificent order, would start in either the Bertram Steeplechase at Rotorua next Tuesday or the Waikato Hunt Cup on September 30 before departing. Rogerson will fly to the U.S. towards the end of October to complete Jean Rapier’s preperation. The gelding is booked to return to New Zealand on December 20.
