Greenpeace stamps
PA Wellington Greenpeace will issue a set of stamps next month, independent of the Post Office, to draw attention to its Antarctic expedition at the end of the year. A Greenpeace team of 35 people, including some New Zealanders, will voyage to Antarctica to set up a permanent base for
research on the environment, which the group says is under threat from mineral exploitation. The four stamps feature wildlife scenes, including Adelie penguins, a leopard seal and orca whales, and the Greenpeace, the research vessel used for the expedition.
