Boat record confirmed
Peter Knight senior, of Christchurch, was yesterday confirmed as the fastest person to drive a world grand prix power boat.
several months ago at Lake Ruataniwha just outside Twizel he sped through the measured kilometre course at 285.83 km which is 177.61 miles per hour.
A cable from the world authority, Knights, confirmed the world record.
